Expo Milan was a feast for the senses: the eyes, the nose, and of course, the mouth. Over a six month period, Milan has become a global showcase with more than 140 participating countries showing off their best of technology and food. The focus for this year was to address the world’s concerns for healthy, safe, sustainable food for everyone.

The organization committee expects over 20 million visitors to it’s 1.1 million square meters of exhibition space.

It was an incredible place to learn about the issues of world hunger, food safety, nutrition and the future of cultivation, as well as each country’s best dishes. Although we didn’t get a chance to see nearly as many country’s pavilions as we wanted (it would have taken days), it was still amazing to see how much time and work had been put into the event.

Expo was very inspiring, feeling more like an elaborate art installation than a “World Fair”. If you’re in the Milan region before October 31, 2015, you cannot miss this unique event!

    • You absolutely have to go! Also one more tip: pack a lunch – the food is good but really expensive there. That would have been incredible!! Next time I’m in Italy (or you’re in Australia haha) I’ll send you a message 😀
